Peak Forms · Conditional logic
Every answer leads to the next fitting question.
With “if … then …” rules, Peak Forms only shows what fits the previous answer. Nobody reads follow-up questions that don't concern them.
The customer voice in the try shows the logic live: at 0 to 6 a follow-up appears.
What a rule looks like
If the rating is low, ask for the reason.
A rule has conditions and exactly one action. Conditions check an answer or a score, the action shows, hides, skips or awards points.
- If
- Rating is at most 6
- Then
- Show question “What was missing?”
- Otherwise
- Question stays hidden
- Match
- All or any of the conditions
Rule type from the Peak Forms editor
Example with fictional content. It shows how a rule is built, not customer results.
What rules can do
Four actions, twelve comparisons.
Show and hide
A question only appears when the condition is met, or disappears as soon as it no longer fits.
Skip pages
Whole pages drop out when they aren't relevant for this person. The form gets shorter.
Award points
Answers add to a score or a dimension. That later decides the fitting result.
Compare precisely
Is, is not, contains, greater, less, at least, at most, answered, empty, one of, none of.
How to start
Your first rule in three steps.
Add questions
Build your form or use a template. Rules always refer to existing questions.
Pick a condition
Decide which answer or score counts and whether all or any condition is enough.
Check in the preview
Play through the form with different answers. The quality check flags rules that can never apply.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need coding skills?
No. You assemble rules from questions, comparisons and actions. There is no code.
Can a rule react to points?
Yes. A condition can check the total score or a dimension, for example “at least 12 points”.
What happens to answers to hidden questions?
Hidden questions are not part of the submission. Peak Forms checks before saving which questions were visible to this person.
