01 · The challenge

Place an open physician position specifically with junior doctors in the DACH region

Universitätsspital Zürich was looking for suitable candidates for an open position in internal medicine.

For specialist medical positions, classic reach alone isn't enough. The challenge was to reach a very specific group of potential candidates: junior doctors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The goal was clear: reach the relevant target group, generate interest in the position and contribute to filling the job successfully.

02 · The solution

Targeted distribution instead of general job advertising

We developed a recruiting campaign that placed the open position directly within a medically relevant target group.

The campaign was thus not aimed at reaching as many people as possible, but at reaching as many suitable junior doctors as possible within the DACH region.

  1. Email marketing

Targeted outreach to potential candidates within a relevant medical newsletter environment.

  2. Social Media Marketing

Additional distribution of the position via social media to extend reach.

03 · The result

From 9,947 candidates reached came one filled position.

In total, the campaign reached 9,947 potential candidates.

The email communication achieved an open rate of 36%.

The campaign achieved a click rate of 5%, generating measurable interest within the target group addressed.

The principle behind it

Not more recruiting reach. More relevant recruiting reach.

The campaign shows that even specialized medical positions can be filled efficiently when the job ad is placed directly where the relevant target group already is.
