Understanding all-in-one business software

One piece of software for a lot, but not for everything.

All-in-one business software brings tasks, customers, products, and numbers into one shared model. Here you see which areas it sensibly covers, what Peak One can do today, and what you still need your own software for.

Quick overview

What all-in-one business software is.

All-in-one business software
Software that connects several business areas such as tasks, customer relationships, products, and key figures on a shared data foundation. The core isn't the number of features but that a customer or a product exists only once and every view shows the same state.
Example
A customer no longer sits separately in the CRM, in a spreadsheet, and in the task tool. Whoever follows up on a quote sees the same person who has an open task on the project board.
Common mistakes
  • Confusing all-in-one with “replaces every other piece of software”
  • Moving all tools at once instead of starting with one area
  • Checking required areas like accounting or payroll only after the decision

Selection guide

What matters in all-in-one software.

Eight criteria, pre-weighted for small businesses. Adjust what matters to you and see where Peak One fits and where it doesn't.

  1. One shared data model

    Available in Peak One

A customer, a product, a task exists exactly once, no matter which view.

Peak One: People, companies, tasks, projects, and products have one identity in Peak One that all apps share.

How important is “One shared data model” to you?
  2. Connect existing tools instead of replacing them

    Available in Peak One

What works well stays, and its data still comes through.

Peak One: Peak One lists 3,270 connectable tools. External data is mapped to central objects, not stored twice.

How important is “Connecting existing tools instead of replacing them” to you?
  3. Accounting covered or connected

    Not included

Receipts, bookings, and taxes need a system built for them.

Peak One: Peak One isn't accounting software. sevdesk and Lexoffice can be connected; posting and taxes stay there.

How important is “Accounting covered or connected” to you?
  4. Payroll, HR, and e-invoicing

    Not included

Payroll, HR administration, and electronic invoices are required areas of their own.

Peak One: The website doesn't describe payroll, HR administration, or e-invoicing. Plan for separate software; Personio can be connected.

How important is “Payroll, HR and e-invoicing” to you?
  5. Start step by step

    Available in Peak One

Start with one area and add more when the first one works.

Peak One: You start with one app, such as Work, Energy, or Cashflow, and others already know the data.

How important is “Starting step by step” to you?
  6. Permissions in one place

    Available in Peak One

Who belongs to which company and what they see isn't maintained per tool.

Peak One: Permissions follow from membership in the company. Access rules apply at the database level.

How important is “Permissions in one place” to you?
  7. Write to connected tools

    Planned

Changes flow back, such as a status in the connected CRM.

Peak One: Reading is available. Actions in connected tools are planned.

How important is “Writing to connected tools” to you?
  8. Data location

    Available in Peak One

Where the application and data live.

Peak One: The application and database run in Frankfurt am Main.

Watch out for this:

  • Accounting covered or connected: Peak One isn't accounting software. sevdesk and Lexoffice can be connected; posting and taxes stay there.

The weighting is a suggestion. Adjust it to your team; nothing is saved.

Is this right for you?

Put in honest perspective.

Peak Atlas runs this page. That's why it also says what Peak One isn't built for.

Peak One is a good fit if

  • The same customers, tasks, and numbers currently live in several tools, each time a little different.
  • You want to keep tools like Shopify, HubSpot, or Slack and still see their data in one place.
  • You want to start with one area and not switch everything at once.

Something else fits better if

  • You're looking for software that also handles accounting, payroll, and e-invoicing. Peak One doesn't do that.
  • You need purchasing, inventory postings, or production planning. Then an ERP system is the right category.
  • You want your workflows to actively write into many other tools today. That's planned for Peak One but not yet available.

Frequently asked questions

Briefly answered.

Is all-in-one business software the same as an ERP?

No. An ERP maps core processes such as purchasing, warehouse, production, and financial accounting seamlessly. All-in-one business software connects work, customers, and key figures. Peak One is not an ERP.

What does Peak One not replace?

Your accounting, payroll, and HR administration, plus e-invoicing. For accounting and HR, you can connect sevdesk, Lexoffice, and Personio; the work itself stays there.

Do I have to replace my existing tools?

No. You connect what you already use, such as Shopify, HubSpot, Gmail or Slack. Peak maps external data to the core objects instead of creating a second copy.

How much does Peak One cost?

You start free on the Free plan. Paid plans start at €19 (Peak Tools). All plans are on the pricing page.

Where is my data?

The application and database run in Frankfurt am Main. Access rules at the database level ensure each account sees only its own data.

One shared model for tasks, customers, products, and numbers.
