Commitments at a glance for friends and family

Keep what you've promised others.

Write down every commitment with the person, even the small ones. You see what's due or at risk today, and also what others have promised you.

After you log in, Commitments opens in your personal workspace with the list of what you promised whom.

CommitmentsExample
What I promised to whom
Anna Weber: return the drill
Due today
Mom: send vacation photos
At risk
Soccer club: cake for the summer party
Kept
Tom: help with the move on Saturday

1 due today · 1 at risk

Why change anything

You gladly said yes. Only the follow-up question reminded you.

  • Commitments get made in passing, at the front door or on the phone, and are written down nowhere.
  • The borrowed drill has been at your place for weeks, and it's awkward.
  • You no longer know whether the neighbor promised you the trailer for Saturday or only maybe.

Until now

  1. Promise something in passing
  2. Trying to keep it in your head
  3. Forgotten
  4. The other person follows up

With Commitments

  1. Record commitment with person
  2. See what's due today
  3. Fulfill and mark as kept

How it works

To your result in 4 steps.

  1. 01

    Record commitment

Write down what you promised whom, for example: return the drill to Anna by Saturday.

  2. 02

    Today at a glance

A day view shows which commitments are due or at risk today.

  3. 03

    The other way around, too

  4. 04

    Look back

In hindsight, you see what you kept and what you didn't.

What gets better

Three things Commitments does for you.

Nothing lives only in your head anymore

Even small promises made in passing end up in one place instead of being forgotten.

A list of all commitments with the person you made them to.

In time instead of after being asked

You see what's due today or about to slip, and you can get in touch beforehand.

A day view with the commitments that are due or at risk today.

Clear who owes you what

You don't have to guess who promised you the trailer or the book.

A dedicated view for commitments others have made to you.

In everyday life

Here's how others see it.

Helpful neighbors

Trigger
You promised to water the neighbors' plants while they're on vacation.
With Commitments
You record the commitment with a time period.
Result
The commitment stays in your day view as long as it's due.

Parents

Trigger
At the parents' evening, you promised to organize the carpool for the tournament.
With Commitments
You enter the commitment with the class as the other party.
Result
You take care of it in time, instead of the first follow-up question reminding you.

Circles of friends

Trigger
A friend promised to lend you his car for your move.
With Commitments
You record who promised you what.
Result
Shortly before the move, you see whom you should ask again.

Before you start.

Is it worth it for small promises, too?

Exactly for that. Small commitments get made in passing and are the easiest to lose. One line is enough: what, to whom, by when.

What does at risk mean?

The day view shows you which commitments are due today and which are about to slip. You'll see how this is determined in detail in the app.

Can I also record what others promised me?

Yes. A dedicated view shows you who promised you what.

What if I can't keep a commitment?

In hindsight, you see what you kept and what you didn't. Sometimes things don't work out, and that's part of commitments too. You'll see how to carry on from there in the app.

Does the other person find out that I entered their commitment?

Commitments opens in your personal workspace, separate from a company's workspace. You'll see in the app whether and how you can share commitments with others.

What happens when I click “Record first commitment”?

You’ll go to the Peak One login. The “Commitments” selection and the destination page are passed along in the link. After you log in, you open this app directly. One account works for all Peak One apps.

What does Commitments cost?

Features and usage limits depend on your plan. You'll find the overview on the Pricing page. Clicking “Record first commitment” does not start a paid subscription.
