Content Strategist – Books, Playbooks & Website

You turn our practice into content that decision-makers understand, and that prepares sales and applications.

Peak Atlas publishes books, playbooks, case studies, and service pages. All of it must be factually substantiated, clearly written, and useful to people who don't know us yet. You're responsible for that quality.

What the role is measured on

Three results instead of a task list.

These are the criteria by which we jointly check whether the work is effective. No target figures on a website – we set those with you.

  1. 01

    Provability

Every statement on the website and in playbooks has a source in the archive: no invented numbers, no placeholders.

  2. 02

    Clarity

New visitors understand the offer, process, and next step without prior knowledge.

  3. 03

    Impact

Content can be linked to initial conversations and applications, through existing measurement, not gut feeling.

Areas of responsibility

Five areas you own.

  • Cut-out composition: a magnifying glass and a burgundy tube, a hand examining a golden coin, next to graduated wooden blocks and a brass tray – a metaphor for reviewing open opportunities.
  • 01

    Editorial planning

Derive topics from projects, books, and customer questions and put them in an order that supports sales and recruiting.

  • 02

    Book & playbook production

Structure and edit manuscripts and translate them into landing pages, from table of contents to detail page.

  • 03

    Case studies

Assign historical projects correctly, substantiate results, name limits.

  • 04

    Website copy

Write service, pricing, and careers pages so they sell honestly.

  • 05

    Quality and source checks

Document provenance, check statements against sources, clean up outdated texts.

Your start

The first 90 days – as orientation, not as a test.

The order and content are realistically derived from our daily work. The actual pace depends on you and the ongoing projects.

  1. 30 days

    Know the existing portfolio

You read books, cases, and service pages, understand our tone, and find the first gaps.

  2. 60 days

    Own formats

You take over a book landing page or a case study series from research to publication.

  3. 90 days

    Editorial routine

There is a plan, a review routine, and a measurable link between content and conversations and applications.

What you bring

Three things have to be right. The rest is learnable.

Must

  • You write precisely in German, without filler, and can condense complex relationships without distorting them.
  • You research before you write and document where a statement comes from.
  • You understand enough about sales, CRM, and numbers not to bore the experts.

Helpful

  • Experience in nonfiction, trade, or business editing.
  • Routine with SEO basics, structured data, and landing page structure.
  • You can talk with designers and developers about layout and components.

When it's not a fit

Fairness first: if one of these points describes you, we both save ourselves the conversation.

  • You mainly want to produce social media posts at high frequency.
  • You're willing to estimate numbers when there's no source.
  • You see fact-checking as a brake rather than part of the work.

How we work together

The same rules as with our customers.

  1. 01

Every measure has a number before and after.

We work on pipelines, processes, and accounts that are visible at month end. Anyone who prefers presenting good intentions won't be happy with us.

  2. 02

We say what we can't do.

Customers learn openly which services we don't offer. The same applies internally, including in the interview.

  3. 03

We build so that it runs without us.

The goal of every collaboration is the handover. Anyone who wants to make themselves indispensable works against the principle.

  4. 04

A conversation instead of a process.

No portal, no standard rounds. We read what you write and reply personally.

Framework

Peak Atlas is headquartered in Würzburg. A large part of the work takes place at customer sites or remotely.

We clarify contract type, scope, compensation, and work location in the initial consultation, openly and concretely, not only after several rounds. That's why you won't find salary bands or deadlines on this page.

Your path to us

Three steps. No portal.

  1. 01

    Write to us

Answer the one question about the role in two to four sentences and send it by email. No cover letter, no résumé upload; a profile link is enough.

  2. 02

    Initial consultation

We talk about your answer, the role, and the framework: contract type, scope, compensation, work location. You get the same honest answers we give customers.

  3. 03

    Work sample & decision

A small, realistic task from the role's daily work, discussed together. Then both sides decide.

Frequently asked questions

What applicants ask us about this role.

Your question missing? Just ask it in your application – we'll answer personally.

Do I write the books myself?

The author of the book series is Philipp Rückert. You structure, edit, review, and translate content into website formats; playbooks are created in the team.

How closely is the role tied to sales?

Close. Content should prepare initial conversations. You talk regularly with the people who hold those conversations.

Which tools are used?

We'll clarify that in the interview. More important than a specific tool is that you work cleanly with structured content, versioning, and source management.

Permanent or freelance?

Both are possible. We discuss contract type, scope, and compensation in the initial consultation.

Apply

One question, two to four sentences, one email.

We read every answer ourselves. No cover letter, no upload – a profile link is enough if you have one.

What you send
Your name, the answer to the question, optionally a profile link, and your earliest start.
What happens next
We answer personally and suggest an initial consultation if it fits – or honestly tell you why not.

Nothing is uploaded or stored. The form generates an email draft to contact@peak-atlas.com, which you review and send yourself.

Name a text you've published that you're proud of, and explain how you substantiated or cut a statement there.
