Performance Marketing Manager – Google Ads & ChatGPT Ads

You run accounts so that ad budget is translated into inquiries and orders, measurable through to closing.

Paid search isn't a channel with a click report for us but a sales instrument: account, landing page, and measurement through to the order belong together. You're responsible for that for our customers.

What the role is measured on

Three results instead of a task list.

These are the criteria by which we jointly check whether the work is effective. No target figures on a website – we set those with you.

  1. 01

    Cost per order

Not clicks or leads but the cost per order won is the metric for your accounts.

  2. 02

    Measurement chain

Every account we support has closed measurement from the ad through to the close in the CRM.

  3. 03

    Decision readiness

Customers receive a monthly report they can use to decide on budget.

Areas of responsibility

Five areas you own.

  • Burgundy collage with speech bubbles and brass instruments – a metaphor for advertising in ChatGPT.
  • 01

    Account management

Structure, bids, search terms, and exclusions in Google Ads: clean, traceable, documented.

  • 02

    ChatGPT Ads

Test new formats early and honestly, with clear exit criteria instead of hope.

  • 03

    Landing pages

Build landing pages with customers and the team so that they generate inquiries, not just visits.

  • 04

    Tracking & attribution

Conversion measurement all the way into the customer's CRM, including offline closes.

  • 05

    Reporting

Monthly report that management understands: cost per order, contribution margin, next decision.

Your start

The first 90 days – as orientation, not as a test.

The order and content are realistically derived from our daily work. The actual pace depends on you and the ongoing projects.

  1. 30 days

    Understand accounts and measurement chains

You review existing customer accounts against our standard and learn how we measure through to the order.

  2. 60 days

    Own accounts

You run your first accounts independently, including landing page coordination and monthly reporting.

  3. 90 days

    Develop the standard further

You bring test results, including from ChatGPT Ads, into our templates and account standards.

What you bring

Three things have to be right. The rest is learnable.

Must

  • You've run Google Ads accounts with your own budget responsibility, and you can explain results, including the bad ones.
  • You understand conversion tracking technically: tags, events, importing offline closes.
  • You think in orders and contribution margins, not in cost per click.

Helpful

  • Experience with shopping feeds, lead forms, or B2B search campaigns.
  • Basic understanding of landing page design and simple website adjustments.
  • Curiosity about new ad environments like ChatGPT Ads, without buying into the hype.

When it's not a fit

Fairness first: if one of these points describes you, we both save ourselves the conversation.

  • You want to run campaigns but leave the measurement to others.
  • You'd rather report impressions than orders.
  • You need large budgets to feel safe; many of our customers start small.

How we work together

The same rules as with our customers.

  1. 01

Every measure has a number before and after.

We work on pipelines, processes, and accounts that are visible at month end. Anyone who prefers presenting good intentions won't be happy with us.

  2. 02

We say what we can't do.

Customers learn openly which services we don't offer. The same applies internally, including in the interview.

  3. 03

We build so that it runs without us.

The goal of every collaboration is the handover. Anyone who wants to make themselves indispensable works against the principle.

  4. 04

A conversation instead of a process.

No portal, no standard rounds. We read what you write and reply personally.

Framework

Peak Atlas is headquartered in Würzburg. A large part of the work takes place at customer sites or remotely.

We clarify contract type, scope, compensation, and work location in the initial consultation, openly and concretely, not only after several rounds. That's why you won't find salary bands or deadlines on this page.

Cut-out composition: two white sculptural hands reach toward each other across a burgundy-and-gold bridge with a Peak Atlas motif – a metaphor for collaboration and reliable business relationships.

Your path to us

Three steps. No portal.

  1. 01

    Write to us

Answer the one question about the role in two to four sentences and send it by email. No cover letter, no résumé upload; a profile link is enough.

  2. 02

    Initial consultation

We talk about your answer, the role, and the framework: contract type, scope, compensation, work location. You get the same honest answers we give customers.

  3. 03

    Work sample & decision

A small, realistic task from the role's daily work, discussed together. Then both sides decide.

Frequently asked questions

What applicants ask us about this role.

Your question missing? Just ask it in your application – we'll answer personally.

How many accounts will I manage?

That depends on size and complexity and will be discussed in the interview. Our standard is that every account gets a closed measurement chain and a monthly decision template.

Will I work directly with customers?

Yes. You explain results yourself; management and sales leadership want to talk to the person who runs the account.

What role does ChatGPT Ads really play?

A growing one, but not a dominant one. We test with clear criteria and report honestly what works and what doesn't.

Permanent or freelance?

Both are possible. We discuss contract type, scope, and compensation in the initial consultation.

Apply
