Why change anything

In the project meeting, everyone first asks who is actually working on what.

  • Tasks are in the minutes, in emails, and on personal lists.
  • A task stays undone because everyone thought someone else would take it.
  • How far along the project is, only someone who asks everyone individually knows.

Until now

  1. Pick tasks out of the meeting minutes
  2. Ask by email who took on what
  3. Ask for project status in the next meeting

With Work

  1. Record task and assign it to a person
  2. Next step with due date on the task
  3. See project status in the overview

How it works

To your result in 3 steps.

  1. 01

    Record task

Create a task that moves your project forward by a real step.

  2. 02

    Assign responsibility

Decide who takes on the task and when the next step is due.

  3. 03

    Track progress

See how your projects are doing and how the work progresses from goal to task.

What gets better

Three things Work does for you.

Clear responsibility

Everyone on the team knows which tasks are theirs, and nothing falls between two people.

Each task records what needs to be done, who takes it on, and when the next step is due.

Project status without a round of questions

You see where a project stands before the next meeting begins.

A project overview answers the question of where your projects stand.

Tasks that fit the goal

The team works on what moves the project forward, not just on what's loud right now.

A roadmap shows how the work progresses from goal to task, and the three most important things come first.

In everyday life

Here's how others see it.

Agency

Trigger
A customer project has been commissioned, and the kick-off meeting is over.
With Work
You record every task discussed and assign it to a person with a due date.
Result
After the meeting, everyone on the team knows what's theirs.

Small team in an SME

Trigger
Stand, materials, and invitations need to be prepared for the next trade fair.
With Work
You break the project down into tasks and distribute responsibility.
Result
Progress is visible, and gaps show up early.

Management

Trigger
Several projects are running in parallel, and you want to know where things get stuck.
With Work
You open the project overview instead of asking everyone individually.
Result
You see which project needs your attention.

Before you start.

What's the difference from a simple to-do list?

In project management, every task is tied to an initiative and has an owner and a next step. That way you see not only what needs to be done, but also who is doing it and how the project is progressing.

Can I assign tasks to others on the team?

Yes. For each task, you note who takes it on. You'll see how to bring team members in, in the app.

Can I see how my projects are doing?

Yes. A project overview shows where your projects stand. You'll see what details it shows in the app.

Can I link tasks to our goals?

A roadmap shows how the work progresses from goal to task. You'll see how to create goals and assign tasks in the app.

What happens when I click “Create first project task”?

You’ll go to the Peak One login. The “Work” selection and the destination page are passed along in the link. After you log in, you open this app directly. One account works for all Peak One apps.

What does Work cost?

Features and usage limits depend on your plan. You'll find the overview on the Pricing page. Clicking “Create first project task” does not start a paid subscription.

Give the next project clear owners.

Create the first task, assign it to a person, and plan the next step.
